汤米（安东尼·罗杰斯 Anthony Rogers 饰）和拉斐尔（卢卡斯·伊文斯 Lucas Evans 饰）是学校集邮俱乐部的成员，两人都十分想要得到一本传说中在澳大利亚失踪多年的珍贵集邮册。汤米出生在贫困的家庭之中，有一个弟弟需要照料，因此，他常常靠着倒买倒卖邮票来赚钱。
有一次，汤米骗走并且卖掉了拉斐尔的一张邮票，在店里，拉斐尔非常巧合的见到了这张被骗走的邮票，但是他并没有足够的钱把邮票赎回来。店主不忍心看见拉斐尔失落的样子，于是送给了他一本集邮册，在集邮册里，拉斐尔震惊的发现了一封古老的信，信中记载了那本失踪多年的集邮册的下落
